Here at Start Simple our goal is very clear; to empower you to look, feel and perform your best.

We want to simplify health and fitness for you, to make it easy, accessible and something that can add to your life.

My name is Andy. I’m the head coach here at Start Simple. I’m a certified nutritionist, personal trainer and have been coaching people both in person and online for five years.

Over the last five years I have supported hundreds of people in their fitness journeys to lose weight and put an end to years of dieting.

That’s what we are here to do; to help you achieve that end result.

How We Work

Start Simple.

Each Start Simple programme is personalised and tailored to you. When you join you will be supported through the signature 5 step process to get a plan in place for achieving your goals.

Introduction Phase

I will treat you as an individual. It’s important that I get to know you, your goals and lifestyle. The first step is for us to have a welcome call to discuss this, so I fully understand where you are at right now and what you want to achieve.

Assessment Phase

This is an initial review of your current nutrition, activity and lifestyle. It helps us understand exactly what has worked, what hasn’t worked and what we need to include within your own plan to ensure you have everything you need.

Create

You are an individual; what works for one person won’t work for another. After phase 1 & 2 we then create a fully tailored nutrition and exercise program ready to fit in to your life.

Review

We are a team and we work together. Once we have your plans and programmes complete, we’ll spend time reviewing everything together ensuring you have 100% clarity and confidence in exactly what you are doing and why.

Progress

This is ultimately why you are here, to progress and get results. Once we have completed steps 1-4, you will have ongoing daily support through messaging, weekly check in’s, group calls and more to ensure you are making the progress we want to see every single week.

What qualifications do you have?

I am a Level 3 personal trainer and certified nutritionist with both MNU and EIQ. All the support provided is based upon the latest scientific evidence available whilst using my years of experience to tailor that to you.

Many people worry that coaching isn’t for them, this is why we have an introductory call to make sure you feel comfortable and are getting all the support you need, you’ll be met with where you are at right now making sure you have everything you need to begin your fitness journey.

We would have to discuss this in your initial welcome call, we can absolutely build around injuries and have years of experience working with people with conditions such a PCOS and pre diabetics. If we feel you may require more specialised support we will refer you to the most appropriate place.

The time it takes to see results can vary based on a few factors, such as your starting fitness level, how often we train, your consistency with workouts and nutrition, and your specific goals. Generally, most people begin to notice improvements in energy, mood, and strength within 1-3 weeks. Visible changes in body composition, like fat loss or muscle gain, typically take around 6-8 weeks with consistent effort. Of course though everyone is different, so the key is to stay patient, focus on progress, and trust the process. I’ll be here to guide and motivate you every step of the way.

Not in the sense of me telling you what to eat and when. You will receive support with meal planning if we feel it is going to help you achieve your goals, however this is something done together. You may also receive example days of eating, recipe books or even shopping list support to educate you around nutrition. This is all done with you though, you’ll never be given a meal plan and left to your own devices with it.

Our program costs vary between £25-£50 per week, based on the coaching and support you require, this will always be discussed with you before you begin any program. We also have a discounted rate available on the 6 week group program for care workers and NHS staff. Please message us for more information on this.

I don’t believe in locking people in to long term contracts. I pride and trust myself on the services provided, this is why you are never locked in for any length of time and monthly rolling contracts are available to everyone. Typically I believe at least 3 months is a fair amount of time for you to really see and feel the benefits.

Simply put, it’s our coaching and community. I started as a personal trainer because I felt like people like me didn’t have a place in the fitness industry, I never found it easy. I know how it feels to be in the position you are in now. That experience mixed with the incredible community of people in our programs means nowhere else can come close to matching the services we offer.
